Relevant is built around confidentiality and privacy discipline, so it should be clear about its own. This page explains what information the app handles, where it goes, and what it never collects.
Relevant is an educational web application, offered in three versions — Relevant Legal, Relevant Nonprofit, and Relevant Real Estate — that helps in-house legal teams, nonprofit staff and boards, and real estate professionals learn to use AI responsibly. This policy covers all three versions. The app is intended for working professionals and is not directed at children. This policy explains how Alumbra Solutions LLP (“we,” “us”) handles information when you use the app at alwaysrelevant.ai.
Using the app means the practices described here apply to you. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.
The rest of this policy is the detail behind those points.
If you sign in, you provide an email address. We use it solely to send you a one-time “magic link” to sign in and to re-send that link when you request it. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider (Supabase — see Section 5). Your email is the only piece of personally identifying information the app collects.
Eva’s intake asks five questions about your working context. The questions depend on the version you use — for example, company industry and legal-team size in Relevant Legal, organization focus and annual budget in Relevant Nonprofit, or primary focus and years in the business in Relevant Real Estate — along with your experience with AI and your top need. These are coarse, bucketed answers (for example, “Mid-size (250–1,000)”). For users who are not signed in, they are kept only in your browser for the current session. For signed-in users, they are saved to your profile in our database, separately for each version, so Eva can skip the intake on future visits. You can view and edit these answers in the app at any time.
When you send a message to Eva, the content of that message is transmitted to our server and forwarded to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a reply. This happens whether or not you are signed in — it is how the AI coach works.
If you are signed in and choose to save a conversation, the conversation is also stored in our database so you can revisit it. Saved conversations are readable by the app’s operator; they are not encrypted in a way that prevents us from accessing them. Access controls restrict each saved conversation to the account that created it.
Like any web application, the app processes some technical data automatically:
The Sensitivity Checker scans text and uploaded files (including Word and PDF documents) for confidentiality and privacy risks. It runs entirely inside your browser. The text you paste, the files you upload, and the results are never transmitted to us, to any AI provider, or to any other server. They stay on your device.
We use the information described above only to:
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your conversations or profile for advertising, and the app does not use third-party analytics or tracking tools.
The app relies on a small number of third-party providers to function. Each receives only the data needed for its role, and each has its own privacy and security practices. The current providers are:
| Provider | Role | What it handles |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic | AI provider | Receives the content of your Eva messages to generate responses. |
| Supabase | Authentication & database | Stores your account email, profile, and any saved conversations. |
| Vercel | Hosting | Hosts the app and the server function; processes standard request logs. |
| Upstash | Rate limiting | Briefly holds per-IP or per-account counters to enforce rate limits. |
Each provider processes data under its own terms and security practices. We share with each only the data its role requires.
Our database and authentication are hosted in the United States (US East — Northern Virginia) region. Our hosting and other providers may process data in the United States and other locations. If you access the app from outside those locations, your information may be transferred to and processed there.
We keep your account email and profile for as long as your account exists. A conversation with Eva is stored only if you are signed in and choose to save it; conversations you do not save are not retained on our servers. Saved conversations are kept until you delete them or your account is deleted — we do not currently delete them automatically after a set period. Technical data such as rate-limit counters and server logs is kept only briefly, according to each provider’s defaults.
We use established service providers and access controls intended to keep your data restricted to your own account. Saved conversations and profiles are protected by per-user access rules so that one account cannot read another’s data, and our database provider encrypts stored data at rest.
No system is perfectly secure, and — importantly — saved conversations are readable by the app’s operator and could be disclosed if legally compelled. This is one more reason not to put confidential or privileged material into Eva. If we become aware of a security breach affecting your information, we will take appropriate steps to address it and to notify you where required by law.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law. To exercise any right, contact us at the address in Section 12 and we will respond as required by applicable law.
The app is a professional tool intended for working professionals. It is not directed at, and not intended for, anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy as the app changes. When we do, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to make the change noticeable. Continued use of the app after an update means the updated policy applies to you.
Questions about this policy, or requests to access or delete your data, can be sent to Info@alumbraai.com.
